I cannot possibly say enough wonderful and positive things about Jen Z and all of her offerings. Not only is she one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, humans I know - she is quite the businesswoman and savage on the Jiu-Jitsu mats! Her style of teaching is all about client-centered safety and empowerment. She did not hesitate to offer her training remotely for her clients almost immediately after Illinois went into Shelter in Place by utilizing online technology and by leading with her giving heart. Jen took the time and asked the questions to get to know me. Asked about my goals and assisted in defining those goals to see if that's what I really wanted and assisted in defining those goals farther to see if that was what I really needed and how she could assist me in obtaining them. Jen is available every step of the way by text or call or in person to answer questions and give encouragement. Jen would reach out to me with suggestions and additional direction as we continued to work together. I feel and look so much better because of Jen and our working together.
Jen Z has been my trainer for 3 months now. I first started in her salon/gym space and then because of the current situation moved to Virtual training. Jen is a very caring individual. She is attentive to my needs, what my limits are and how far she can push me. She encourages and motivates me to do better and yet knows how much I am capable of. Jen is personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Her space is very clean and I love how the training is 1-1 and in a private environment. I have learned so much about my body and nutrition. I love how she makes the workouts fun and challenging. I can't thank her enough for working with me at my level and giving me the motivation to keep trying on my own.
What I liked most..... Let's just say I've been around the block a few times. I've seen and talked to a slew of fitness professionals. I found most to be so black and white. Which would then of course make me relapse to all my bad habits...However, what I liked most about Jen and her coaching is that she was willing to step into the gray zone for me. Meaning... She did not torture me about some of my bad habits but was willing meet me half way so I didn't have to entirely give them up. Better yet, not feel guilty about it. She looks at you as a real person and strategizes with you on a one on one level. That's just for YOU.
The best part about Jen helping me achieve my goals is that she made goals that were tailored towards me and my schedule. Since I have a schedule that is outside of the norm, she understood that most structured programs that would work for others, would not work for me. Starting out small and helping guide me towards achieving the small goals, made it easier and more motivating to take on bigger challenges. Jen truly cares about helping others and making them find happiness within themselves. She understands that each person is different and that it can take different methods to achieve one's goals.
